The Panthers volleyball team lost its second match of the season Monday, as George Mason avenged an early season loss at Rappahannock’s hands.
The varsity team fell in two games to the Mustangs, 15-2 and 158. “We got beaten by a good team,” Coach Paul Paratore said of the defeat. “They were solid. They didn’t do anything fancy — they just didn’t make any mistakes.” ,
With both teams working the ball well into some sustained volleys, “they waited until we made a mistake and gave them the point or the ball.”
He predicted that the team would rebound well from its second defeat of the year, putting the Panthers’ record at 3-2. “I was disappointed to see the girls not play their best,” Coach.Paratore said.
