Surviving is one cousin, John Tapp of Amissville.

Ellis Matthews

Ellis Lee Matthews, 89, of Sperryville, died Monday, Jan. 28, 1991 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Matthews was bom Aug. 30, 1901 in Rappahannock County, the son of the late James T. and Virginia Gillmore Matthews.

Survivors include a niece and nephew, Arlene and Acy Frye of Sperryville, with whom he made his home and a number of other nieces, nephews and Mends.

The family will receive Mends today, Thursday, Jan. 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Nazareth Baptist Church in Boston. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Howard Frye officiating. Interment will be in the family section of the church cemetery.

W.C. Thompson Funeral Home in Culpeper is in charge of the arrangements.
