New voter registration cards are being mailed out in the near future, according to Rappahannock Registrar Nancy Leake. If you think you are registered, and do not receive a new card'in the mail by June 30, call the Office of Voter Registration in Washington at 675-3739.
Spring Mountain May Day feat
Spring Mountain School, a Waldorfstyle school in Washington, Va., will host a May Day Festival from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 2.
The festival will include a traditional May Pole celebration with live music, crafts and food. Games for children of all ages will be offered, including a treasure hunt, tug-of-war, sack races, jump roping and more. The rain date is Sunday, May 3.
Admission is free, and the public is invited. Spring Mountain is located in the old Washington High building on Mount Salem Avenue.
