Literacy Volunteers of America’s local chapter, LVA-Rappahannock, was notified this week of a $1,500 grant from the Southland Corp.’s People Who Read Achieve program.
The money prill Jpejiswl to purchase a personal computer and some software to aid in LVA-Rappahannock’s instructional and fund-raising activities.
The award will be made during an awards luncheon in Greenbelt, Md. on May 19.
According to the grant application, the computer and software will allow LVA-Rappahannock to “individualize our program easily and effectively.
