Ed Risse speaks at RCHS
The level of growth and development that Rappahannock County can expect over the next 10 years will be the subject of a talk sponsored by the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection, 8 p.m. April 24 in the Rappahannock High auditorium.
The speaker will be Ed Risse, who describes himself as "a fervent advocate of efficient land-use patterns, density and new institution to enhance liveability, eliminate congestion, and reverse environmental degradation."
CCWHY holds start-up meeting
A new group to foster a substance-free environment for the county's youth, the Community Coalition Working for Healthy Youth (CCWHY), will hold an organizational and informational meeting in the Washington Fire Hall, 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28. All interested community members are invited, and babysitting will be available.
