has centennial

The 100th annual meeting of Woman’s Missionary Union of Shiloh Baptist Association will be held Thursday, April 30 at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church at Scrabble.

The first session will begin at 5 p.m. and a covered dish dinner will be served in the fellowship hall at 6 p.m. The second session will begin at 7 p.m.

Edith Vaughn, emeritus Southern Baptist missionary to Brazil, will be the keynote speaker. During her 36 years of service, Miss Vaughn founded and directed Friendship House and taught evangelism and social work at the Seminary of Christian Education in Racife, Brazil.

Special music will be provided by the Oak Chapel Baptist Church choir, Mrs. Cletus Clarke, Mrs. James Falls and Mrs. Wister Weaver.

The public is invited. Mrs. L. Starke Jones, Shiloh WMU Director, will preside.
