Take global warming. Environmentalists would have us believe the surface temperature of the Earth is rising at an alarming rate due to man made pollutants like carbon dioxide. With near rabid hysteria, they warn that unless drastic steps to curtail the emissions of such “greenhouse gases” are taken (cost no object), all life on Earth is threatened.
However, actual scientific evidence tells another story. The entire global warming theory is based on flimsy computer models which simply cannot replicate the enormous complexity of inter-related biospheric, atmospheric and climatic phenomena. These models cannot accurately predict (or even infer) rising temperatures, let alone attribute them to man-made pollutants.
Further, the ground monitoring stations where temperature readings are taken are virtually all located at airports, where acres of concrete lay exposed to the broiling sun. Any temperature readings taken in such an environment are inherently suspect, if not utterly invalid.
Facts are of little interest to environmentalists with an agenda, however. Consider acid rain.
