A year-old lab-shepherd mix female named Chester is the featured dog at the Animal Shelter in Amissville for this week. Chester likes to play. Other dogs ready to he adopted include a year-old husky cross female, black-and-tan; a 1 I/2-year old German shepherd cross female, black-and-tan; a 4year-old lab-shepherd cross female, househroken; and a 2-year-old male hound-shepherd, tan with a black tail. The shelter is open from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. The lost animal registry can be found in the Classified Section of the Rappahannock News.
