The planners also understand that parking in town isn’t getting any better, said Ms. Van Dort. The planners discussed several options, including off-site parking, she added.

In the end they decided to require lVa parking spaces for each dwelling unit in new construction (rounded up to the next whole number) and the same amount for eaqji 250 square feet of retail space.
