Due to weather conditions funeral services for C. Marie Shaw of Castleton will be held at 2 p.m. on March 20 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
Marjorie Exton
Mrs. Marjorie Louise Grant Exton, 77, wife of Lt. Gen. Hugh Exton of Oak Hedge, Amissville died at her residence on March 15.
Mrs. Exton was born in 1915 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas the daughter of the late Major Gen. and Mrs. Walter Schuyler Grant, formerly of Washington, D.C.
Mrs. Exton attended Stone Ridge Country Day School in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Miss Mays in Boston. With her parents she travelled to various Army posts where in 1939 in the Phillipines she married Hugh Exton, a lieutenant in the United States Army. During World War II while her husband was in Europe, Mrs. Exton lived in Washington, D.C. where she was active in the American Red Cross. After the war she accompanied her husband on tours to various parts of the world including Germany and Hawaii.
