Ihe renewed interest this year had prompted plans to Re-Charter the Troop in Amissville and leadership for that Troop is currently being recruited. A study is also being planned to duscuss the feasibility of establishing a Cub Pack and Scout Troop in Sperryville.
The requirement to charter a unit is five boys and the adult leadership to support the unit.
With the geopgrapic dispersian of the county’s population, it is to the community’s advantage to have a number of small, high quality units than one or two large units that require the Scouts to travel miles for each meeting.
