Lion Head

The Rappahannock Lions Club has been providing the community with its unique variety of public service since it was founded in 1958. Three of the original Founding Members were in attendance when the Governor of District 24A, Miguel A. “Mike” Valencia of Alexandria, officiated at the installation of the 1993-94 Lions Club officers at the regular meetings on June 23rd. The Founding “Fathers” present were Raymond Johnson of Woodville who was also celebrating his 88th birht-! day, Carson Johnson of Sperryville and Paul Nichols of Flint Hill.

Outgoing President Roger Andrews passed the gavel to the new President Holly Pendleton who will, be ably supported by a management team including Hal McDermott, Sec-, retary; Emerson Williams, Trea-' surer; Bob Darby, 1st V.P.; Bob Scott, 2nd V.P.; and Dave Smith, 3rd V.P. The new Lions Tamer is J.R. Goolsby and Bob Anderson will be Tail Twister.
