I who will be high schoolers next year w^re campers. They were separated into teams by sex as well as age. There were five varsity level teams, three for boys and two for girls; six junior varsity level teams three each of|boys and girls, and two junior panther level teams of boys. • The camp program will follow the satne format as last week’s camp but onj a higher level. The college level counsellors are back. There will be several speakers throughout the week, but again the object is “to haVe fun,” Coach Leake said. J At the end of the morning teams pl$y brief half-court games, and at the end of the afternoon they play fufi-court games. On Monday the cafripers worked on shooting form anp team offense, especially passing, Coach Leake explained. Tuesday morning they were working on shboting drills in the morning. Doug Sifiith and Jenny Boucek from the University of Virginia men’s and women’s basketball teams came in the afternoon to work with the cafnpers and to talk about their college basketball careers. | Coach Leake noted that parents are generally pleased with basketball camp. At the end of a day at cafnp youngsters sleep well, he explained.
