The community warmly welcomes Rev. Nancy White as the new pastor at Amissville United Methodist Church. She and her family formerly lived in Bealeton. She is a former pastor at Oak Shade United Methodist in Rixeyville.
Get your fireworks here at home for the July 4 celebration. The Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA) is selling fireworks at the Hackley’s Store Parking Lot through Saturday, July 3. Special thanks to the RAA volunteers and to Hackley’s Store. Your support of youth baseball in our community is greatly appreciated. Approx. 300 kids particiapted again this year in the baseball/softball program.
The RAA picnic is set for 11 a. m. ! on July 24 at Stuart Field. Rain date • is July 31.
The homemakers will not meet this Monday. Their annual picnic will be held at 6 p.m. on July 12 at the home of Lynda and Emiel Smet.
