Support Group To Meet
The Blue Ridge Head Injury Support Group will meet and have a• social from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, July 10 in the Parish Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington. For directions, information or transportation call Pat Salmon at 675-3137 after 6:30 p. m.
Reading Program Continues
The Rappahannock County Library’s summer reading program ; “Peer Amid Books...Read” got off to a great start with a wonderful • perfromance by Lorraine Duisit Espinola. She entertained the chil- ' dren with original musical compositions of nursery rhymes from Clyde and Wendy Watson’s book “Catch me and kiss me and say it again.”
On July 7, the always popular Puppets by Pizzazz will present “The Mummy Pyramid Mystery” at 7 p.m. (Please note the change in time.) Children of all ages are invited to attend these free programs at • the library.
Helpers Desperately Needed
The Washington Volunteer Fire Department, RAAC, and RAWL are responsible for the parking situation on July 4th in Washington, and the money collected is used to support the three groups. These or-; ganizations would like your assistance with this job. If you would be’ willing to help on the Fourth for 2-4 hours parking cars, please call Beverly Atkins at 675-3843 to schedule your shift.
Summer Art Camp
Middle Street Gallery will hold its annual Summer Art Camp this summer during the first two weeks of August at the Recreation Center in Washington. From August 2-6, Laurie Marshall (675-3267) will teach drawing and painting. From August 9-13, Jeanne Drevas (9873129) will teach sculpture and paper-making. Camp runs from 9-11:30 and cost $35 per week. There is scholarship help available. Call the artist for information and to register. The sign-up deadline in July 12. ;
Book Sale on July 4th
The Friends of the Rappahannock County Library are getting ready for the annual 4th of July book sale. If you have'books to donate please drop books by the Rappahannock County Library during library hours.
