While most of the Farm Show activity is centered around 4-H and other youth, adults have lots of areas they can select to enter their best products and produce. The adult or open division has seven departments. There are “From Your Kitchen,” clothing, T-shirts and sweatshirts, garden vegetables, arts and crafts, flowers and photography.

Most of the animal projects require the youth to have been in a 4-H project during the past year. This is important because of the training and information the 4-H members receive. These youth are members of clubs that meet monthly.

Other areas of competition are less restricitve. youth who have taken part in 4-H programs during the past year are eligible to exhibit in areas such as baked and canned goods, clothing, house furnishings, child care, flowers, arts and crafts and hobbies. Since all public school students in grades 4-8 were involved in 4-H school enrichment, all students are eligible to enter.
