The library is pleased to offer the lobby areas as an informal gallery to local artists and artisans. Recent shows have included drawings and paintings by Tanya Richey, quilts by Dorothy Lee and prize winning children’s artwork from Rappahannock County Schools.
The lobby gallery will feature more children’s artwork in July. The works, in coordination with the show and program at the Middle Street Gallery called “Exceptional Waters: Honoring the Rappahannock River,” will feature children’s interpretations of theme. Several time slots are still available. Please call the library for information and guidelines on material.

In Walter Longyear’s letter last week, “Too Big a Right Turn,” the first paragraph contained a typographical error.
