The Rappahannock school system may be facing a crisis in providing fuel for the bus fleet for the coming school year.
Quarles Petroleum, which has been providing gasoline and diesel fuel at the bus shop, did not submit a bid for the coming year. The company owns the tanks, two underground gasoline tanks (holding 3,000 and 4,000 gallons) and one above ground diesel tank (holding 500 gallons). None of the companies which did bid to supply fuels was willing to supply tanks.
