Members of the 1943 graduating class of Washington High School held their reunion at the Flint Hill Public House on July 16. Those attending included front row, left to right, Garland Fincham Sealock, Mary Gilbert Latham, Evelyn Putnam Megeath, Mary Moore Blaisdell, Mary Verner Updike and Lousie Brady McCulloch; back row, left to right, Clarence (Kit) M. Price, Joseph Mills, Gilbert Lawrence, Leedy Pullen, Charlie Priest, John C. Adams and James M. Settle. One teacher, Hazel Poff Corbin from Richmond also attended. Members of the class unable to attend were Isaac Beahm, Frances Miller Wood, Elizabeth Pullen Long and John (Donnie) Keyser. A memorial table with a white cloth and a red rose was provided for each of the deceased, Mildred Green Sandrige, Virginia Cooksey, John Paul Jones and James E. Dennis. Dr. John C. Adams and his wife, Elsie of Missouri City, Texas planned the reunion.
