I wonder how many people stay home every day from their work because Warrenton’s sewer plant on Rt. 211 stinks and they do not want to drive near the plant.

Twenty-five boys and 19 girls attended area college basketball camps in July. The boys traveled to Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, and the girls stayed a weekend at James Madison University, Harrisonburg.
Both camps had an emphasis on team skills but also gave attention to individual position work. The camps were very succsessful, not only in the measurement Ttf skill improvement, but also in areas of sportsmanship, team togetherness and self-pride. By the end of both camps, opponents, coaches and camp staff complimented and respected Rappahannock County’s teams. Hopefully the knowledge that was obtained at camp can lead to positive results bn the court in the upcoming seasons. We must all remember that effort, determination and sportsmanship are essential elements to athletics. Using this philosophy ouy teams returned home as champions.
