John Silvey

John Wesley (Junior) Silvey, 70, of Amissville died Aug. 5 at the Veterans Adminstration Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Mr. Silvey was bom in Rappahannock County on September 16, 1922, son of the late John Wesley and Irene Hitt Silvey.

He was a member of the ' Amissville United Methodist Church.

Mr. Silvey was a retired carpenter.

He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army at the invasion of Normandy.

Mr. Silvey is survived by his wife, Altha M. Silvey of Amissville; two daughters, Linda Dart of Amissville and Joyce Pearson of Herndon; one grandson, Bo Wesley Pearson of Herndon; one granddaughter, Tammy Caporuscio of Amissville and one sister, Mildred
