Community Calendars Available

The Rappahannock County Community Calendars produced by the Washington Volunteer Fire Department are available for purchase. The calendars contain many community organization’s activities and the school dates for the upcoming school year, as well as numerous birthdays and anniversaries. Calendars can be purchased for $3.50 for one or $5 for two. A special thank you to all the local businesses who bought ads for the calendar. Summer Day Camp

Register now for the second session of the Summer Day Camp at Spring Mountain School. The camp will be held 9 a.m.-l p.m. Monday - Wednesday, through August 27 for children ages 3 1 2-6.

Each week promises a rich and nurturing balance of indoor and outdoor experiences, including swimming, trips to parks and playgrounds, hiking, crafts and creative play all with an experienced teacher.

The tuition, $150 for the four week program, covers all expenses for materials, transportation and admission to parks and swimming facilities.

Family Fun Day

Saturday, Aug. 14, is the Amissville Ruritan Club's Family Fun Day to be held at Stuart Field on U.S. 211, between Hackley’s Store and Methodist Church, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Free admission. Rain date is Aug. 21.

Bereavement Group To Meet

The Bereavement Support Group sponsored by The Hospice of the Rapidan will meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month at Washington Baptist Church at 7 p.m’ Please call 825-4840 for further information.

A Moveable Feast

Biners can enjoy a pleasant afternoon of dining at a variety of different bed and breakfast inns in Rappahannock County.

Participants will be served a course at one inn, and then move to another to continue the meal.
