Public Hearing: Zoning Ordinance Amendment Land Application of Sludge The Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, Virginia, proposes to amend the Rappahannock County Zoning Ordinance by adding thereto a new paragraph 2.8.8, to read as follows: 2.8.8 The land application of sludge is prohibited. This shall include both surface and sub-surface application. The term "sludge" is defined to be any solid, semi-solid or liquid wastes with similar characteristics and effects generated from a public, municipal, commercial, private, or industrial wastewater treatment plant, water supply treatment plant, air pollution control facility or any otner waste producing facility. The Board shall hold a public hearing on Wednesday, September 8, 1993 at 7:00 p.m. at the Courthouse in Washington, VA, to consider this proposed amendment. In addition, the Rappahannock County Planning Commission shall hold a public hearing on Wednesday, August 18,1993, at 7:30 p.m. at the Courthouse in Washington, VA, to consider this proposed amendment.
