The Board of Supervisors wrestled with what to do with juvenile offenders but came up with no answers Monday.
County Administrator John McCarthy said he. Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke and Sheriff John Henry Woodward had attended a meeting in Loudoun County about entering into an agreement with that county to build a juvenile detention facility but came away empty handed.
Mr. McCarthy said Loudoun proposed to build a 16-bed facility, but would expand it to 21 beds if other counties want to participate.
He said it would cost Rappahannock $61,200 per bed in up front costs plus $14,200 per year in operating costs. The agreement would only be for seven years, he said, and after that Loudoun would take con
