At 6’5”, Derek Daczewitz is the tallest player on the team. Coach Leake said, “He pushes himself for maximum performance. He will become an excellent center if he continues to work as hard as he has so far.” Derek scored double digits in both scrimmages. « Volleyball
it was a long and arduous battle, but the RCHS varsity volleyball team eked out their first win of the regular season against Clarke County Monday night.
“The best thing they did was play under pressure. They hung in there,” said Coach Paul Paratore. “They work really hard in practice and I’m proud of them,” he added.
“We have the potential to be a very, very good team, but we have to keep working on it,” said Paratore.
Rappahannock scored 18 to Clarke’s 16 in the first game, 10 to 15 in the second game, then 15 to 13 in the final game.
