The first blasts of winter
swept into Rappahannock and surrounding area Friday* Nov. 29 with rain, snow and howling winds which left a path of destruction in its wake.
According to M.H. Brady, Highway Superintendent here, the snow plows were kept busy for a while on the mountain clearing the highway from the Page County line three miles down toward Sperry ville.
Sunday, Dec. 8, will be Christmas Seal Sunday in many of the 265 churches in the area. It was announced by Warren H. Goolsby, Chairman of Church Information, for the Tuberculosis and Health Association of Northern Virginia.
