Representatives of both companies visited the site. Mr. Estes said, “I think we will have to talk to engineers in person before we hire a company.”
Chairman Gene Leggett replied, “If you have time, you should talk with both of them.”
“I was hoping we could execute this plan on our own and have Troy do it," Mr. Estes said, referring to Troy Jenkins who does most of the maintenance work at the plant.
Mr. Leggett asked Mr. Estes to meet with both engineering companies to discuss all possibilities. Mr. Smith will join in this.
Mr. Estes reported that plant manager Donna Chabot spent the day at the plant during the heavy rainstorm on Nov. 27. Mr. Estes said, “If she had not cut off the blowers we would have had a washout. She is to be commended for this.” With the blowers off, all of the solids settled.
Mr. Johnson reported that new seals have been ordered and some have been installed on individual tanks to keep out groundwater.
