Mr. Johnson’s attorney, Mark Williams, asked that the evidence seized as a result of this arrest be suppressed. Judge W. Franklin Butler, 33, of Culpeper, pleaded quilty to a misdemeanor, receiving stolen goods, which belonged to David and Helen Smith. He will be spending 30 days in Boxwood beginning on Dec. 26, and will be in court again on March 14 for receipt of a presentence report and imposition of sentencing.

Donnie Donnell Carter, 35, of Fairfax, was sentenced to six years on charges of breaking and entering. He was also sentenced to 12 months in the county jail. He will serve 60 days, and will be under supervised probation for three years.
