Robert Henry Jenkins, Sr., 71, of Sperryville died Saturday, Dec. 4 at his residence.

Mr. Jenkins was born April 15, 1922, in Sperryville to the late Will Stephen and Minnie A. Fincham Jenkins.

He was retired from Bingham and Taylor, Inc., Culpeper and also worked as a farmer.

Mr. Jenkins is survived by his wife of many years, Louise N. Jenkins; five daughters, Gertie M. Jenkins, Sandra J. Jenkins and Patty Jenkins all of Culpeper, Peggy A. Bradley of Saluda, N.C. and Tammy Jenkins of Madison; three sons, Robert H. Jenkins, Jr. of Amissville, Steven C. Jenkins of Madison and Timothy R. Jenkins of Woodville: two sisters, Estelle Skiles of Knox City, TX and Edna Riddle of Front Royal and two brothers, Charles E. Jenkins and George E. Jenkins, both of Culpeper.

Additional survivors include 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by a host of foster children raised by his wife and he throughout the years.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Jenkins and Elzie Jenkins, and one son, Warren Lee Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 8 at Found & Sons Chapel with the Rev. William Smith officiating.

Interment will be in Sperryville Cemetery.
