Lights of Love Tree
A public tree lighting ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11 in Madison at the corner of Rt. 20 and business 29 in front of the IGA and at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington.
Lights may be purchased with a donation of $10 for each light and $25 for three lights. Please make checks payable to: Hospice of the Rapidan, P.O. Box 715, Culpeper, Va. 22701. All contributions are tax deductible.
Walk-in Clinics
December walk-in clinics will be held at the Rappahannock Health Department from 8:30-11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 13 and 9-11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 21.
The Health Department will be closed December 23, 24, 30 and 31.
Adopt-A-Child Tree
Girl Scout Troops of the Virginia Skyline Girl Scout Council will have a Giving Tree at the Rappahannock Library to adopt-a-child at Christmas for a gift. Gifts are to be taken to Social Services Office by Dec. 17.
LFCC Class at High School
Aerobic Fitness I (Course . PED103) is the next class in the Office Systems Technology Program (Administrative Assistance Specialization) offered by Lord Fairfax Communtiy College at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. The two credit class will be held on Tuesdays and Thursday, beginning Jan. 11 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost of the class is $88 ($44 per credit).
