Santa at Castleton
Santa Claus is coming to Castleton Community Fire Company from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 19. “Come have your picture taken with Santa,” said an organizer. Refreshments w ill be available.
Support Group To Meet
“Working Through Grief,” a support group will meet every Tuesday morning at 11 a. m. The groups are structured to help each participant better understand and cope with his or her loss. If you or a loved one is in need of bereavement support, please call the Hospice office at 825-4840.
Christmas Green Sale
Christmas greens sale to benefit the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11 at the fire hall. A variety of loose green from boxw oods to spruce for holiday decorations will be sold. Wreath making will be demonstrated apd sold as well as cookbooks and baked goods.
Group Will Celebrate
The Blue Ridge Head Injury Support Group will meet and have a holiday celebration from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11 at the home of Chris and Pat Samon in Flint Hill. For direction, information, transportation or support please call Pat Samon at 875-3137 after 6:30 p.m.
Support Group To Meet
The cancer support group for patients in remission will meet on the second Tuesday of every month. On Dec. 14 the meeting will be at the Rappahannock Library at 7 p.m. This group was organized in the fall because it was felt that there was a need for such a support group in the county. Ester Settle introduced the idea, and she reports that nine persons attended the first meeting. Bob Trainor is serving as facilitator of the group, please contact Mrs. Settle if you would like more information, 675-3252.
