According to recent reports in the Rappahannock News the county seat of Rappahannock County will soon lose its only moderately-priced American cuisine restaurant operated by a native of this area.
No amount of professional expertise can replace tasty home-cooked food and deserts. There are still some of us who prefer American food Virginia style. This food served in an informal atomsphere with prompt and friendly service is the hallmark of the Country Cafe.
In other areas, when a business is forced to vacate its premises, there are other facilities readily available for relocation. Such is not the case in Washington, Va. This poses a real handicap not only for the proprietor but for his customers.
