The School Board agreed Tuesday night on a budget for the coming school year that cuts $178,-000 from the $6.3 million proposal.
It would reduce raises for teachers and teachers’ aides from the 5 percent originally proposed by Superintendent David Gangel to 2 percent.
That cut saves $81,700. Other cuts include $33,700 for a grant writer, $10,000 to rebuild the fence around the baseball. Held, $3,000 to rebuild the fence behind the bus garage, $9,500 to install lights in the student parking lot at the high school, $2,000 for plumbing, electric, and heating repair, $1,400 from supplies and equipment, $12,500 for teachers’ aides to ride school buses, and $5,270 to make the library aide position at the high school full time.
