Together with several other, mostly smaller cuts, these amounted to $93,000. Dr. Gangel said he estimated about $3,300 could be saved because superintendents from the four jurisdictions using George Washington Carver - Piedmont Technical Center have asked that board to cut its budget.
The School Board will meet again next Tuesday evening to formally adopt the budget once all the line items have been adjusted to account for decisions made this week.
The proposed $6.15 million budget will still require an additional $437,200 in local funds.
