Dance at Amissville

Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will have a dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on March 25 with the band River Bottom. For reservations call 937-4357.

Plains Art Show

Artists interested in exhibiting work in the 48th annual Neighborhood Art Show, to be held May 19-21 at Grace Episcopal Church, The Plains, must submit entry cards by Friday , April 14. |

Copies of the show prospectus, outlining medium and art categories, are available from Mrs. Gerald Thomas, 703-253-5687. Cost of entry- is $10 each, with artists limited to two works. Children are encouraged to exhibit and are limited to one work of art. Exhibitors receive a ticket to the show and are invited to the opening night gala. May 19.

Chicken Dinner Planned

Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department will have a baked chicken dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. on April 8 at the Chester Gap fire hall. Adults will be $7 and children 8 and under $4.

The dinner will consist of two pieces of baked chicken, one piece for children, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, biscuits, dessert, coffee and tea. Tickets purchased before April 5 will be $1 off. For more information call 635-5482.

Bazaar Planned

On Saturday, April l, “Bargains for Buildings,” Giant Bazaar featuring craft items, silent auction, white elephants, plants, food booths, door prizes, car raffle and more! Sponsor by 12 area churches to benefit Fauquier Habitat for Humanity and will be held at Fauquier High School cafeteria, 705 Waterloo Road, Warrenton from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Business Council To Meet

The Sperryville Business Council will meet at 4:00 pm on Friday, March 31 at the Hazel Mountain Pub, located at Country Manor, west of Sperryville. All current members, interested business persons and/or perspective members are urged to attend.
