The cinder track at the school is uneven because it has not been taken care of, said Mr. van de Graaff. He said that two students have had injuries already this season. “We need more resources available to make the facilities safe and usable. When you don’t have facilities that are up to par you are putting kids at risk,” he said.

Not only does the track team need a better track, they need to do weight training, and that equipment is not available. The lack of weight training puts Rappahannock atudents at a disadvantage, according to Coach van de Graaff. -
