Pearl Dodson
Pearl Elizabeth Dodson, 80, of Sperryville died on Tuesday, March 21 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal
She was born April 20, 1914, in Sperryville to the late Joseph B. and Elizabeth Woodard Atkins.
Mrs. Dodson is survived by three sons, John Marshall Dodson and Netus S. Dodson, both of Sperryville, Maurice Wayne Dodson of Madison; three daughters, Janet Elizabeth Vest of Virginia Beach, JoAnn Buracker of Sperry ville and Lou Madeline Good of Stanley.
Additional survivors include on brother, Lyle Wilson Atkins of Sperryville; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Dodson; one son, Mac Vernon Dodson; one daughter, Pearl Nadine Atkins and two brothers, Alvin L. Atkins and Joseph F. Atkins.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 24 at Found & Sons Chapel with the Rev. Kirby Shenk officiating.
Interment followed in the Dodson Family Cemetery in Sperryville.
Pallbearers were her grandsons John Vest, Curtis Vest, David Dodson, J.R. God, Netus L. Dodson, Don Dodson, Dean Atkins, Neal Atkins and Mathew Dodson.
