The first RAAP Community Volleyball Tournament Saturday brought plenty of humor and fierce competition.

A team made up of Kevin Day, Kath Gilman, Sarah Gentry, Jennings Carney, Becky Gallegos, Griffin Ward and Jason Baldwin eventually prevailed. Kevin Day’s spikes at the net contributed mightily to the team’s success.

They conquered a team made up of mostly high school seniors for the championship. That team had Justin Day, Johanna Tole, Jaimee Hammit, Mike Wolfe, Susan Jewell, Jonathan Maeyer, Sandra Kludasch and Ozzie Villar.

The two teams met in the championship match after the senior class defeated a team made up of Tony Williams, Janell Hopkins, Emmy Bailey, Dale Hopkins, Molly Bailey, Peggy Stephenson and John from the Manassas area, who could not be further identified. That team was the
