Mark Jenkins won the 400m with a time of 58:28. He finished second in the 800m at 2:23, and came in fourth in the long jump.

Jason Carter finished fourth in both the 100m and the 200m runs. Ozzie Villar was third in the 800m and R.J. White finished fourth in the 400m.

.Coach Dave van de Graaff said that his team is young, that they are good listeners and want to work hard.

Though the soccer team lost to James Wood 3-1 last Friday, Coach Uli Maeyer said he is really pleased with his team’s performance. “It is one of the toughest teams we will have to play this season,” he said. Holding the score to 3-1 gave him confidence that his team will do well the rest of the season.

Coach Maeyer said that it was a high-caliber, extremely fast and intense game. James Wood scored one goal each in the first and second quarters. In the third quarter, Mike Wolfe took the ball from the midfield line and scored a goal, making the score 2-1. James Wood made a penalty kick with 15 minutes to go in the game.

The soccer team was scheduled to play at Madison on Tuesday, and at Warren County at 6 p.m. this Friday. Their first home game will be against James Wood on April 4 at 5 p.m.
