Call For Mass Meeting of the Republican Party of Rappahannock County
I, Ronald L. Frazier, chairman of the Rappahannock County Republican Committee, do hereby issue a call for a mass meeting of all members of the Republican Party of Rappahannock County, to be held at the Rappahannock County Courthouse on April 13, 1995, at 8:00 PM. Registration will be from 7:30-8:00 PM. All persons in line at 8:00 PM will be admitted.
The purposes of the meeting are:
1. To elect delegates and alternates to the 26th Senatorial District Convention fdr the nomination of a candidate for State Senate of the 26th District.
2. For the transaction of other business as may properly come before the meeting.
Rappahannock County is entitled to 12 delegate votes at the convention based on the Republican Party of Virginia Delegate Allocation. Up to five delegates and five alternate delegates may be elected for each delegate vote, so that a total of 60 persons may be elected as delegates and alternate delegates. The delegation shall vote under the full vote rule.
The convention will be held on May 23, 1995, at 8:00 PM at the Washington Firehouse, 10 Firehouse Lane, Washington, Virginia. All persons interested in attending the convention as a delegate should attend the mass meeting and make a declaration in the nominating phase of the meeting. A $5 fee will be required at the time of election.
Qualification for Participating in Party Actions: All legal and qualified voters of Rappahannock County, regardless of race, religion, color, national origin or sex, under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who express in open meeting, if requested, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election, may participate as members of the Republican Party of Virignia in its mass meetings, party canvasses, conventions or primaries in their respective election districts.
