Our community is deeply saddened by the death of Mrs. Beatrice “Bee” Butler, widow of George Butler, who passed away Jan. 5th at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville. She was one of our oldest natives having been bom here 86 years ago and we offer heartfelt sympathy to the family. * Condolences are expressed to the Pulliam family upon the passing of Mr. George “Billy” Pulliam at Culpeper Memorial Hdspital on Friday. Mr. Pulliam was bom her in Boston 79 years ago.
An announcement has been made of the engagement of Miss Suzanne Hoskins, daughter of Bemie and Faye Burke Hoskins to Joseph Shaw of Bealton. Miss Hoskins is the grandaughter of the late J.B. and Doris Butler Burke.
Miss Carolyn Peyton of Stafford spent the New Year’s Holiday weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Peyton.
Our prayers are with Mrs. Charlie Wood of “Deen-Lookin” who is recuperating from a broken hip which occurred on Dec. 23rd.
