Storm Cleanup
Perhaps it was because this was a bigger storm. Perhaps-because it was more general.
For whatever reason the VDOT response this time does not seem to have been as well organized and efficient as Rappahannock County.has come to expect in past few years.
Residents realize that except in emergencies, VDOT crews could not come onto the .back roads until drifting stopped and the main highways were opened and staying that way.
However, even after that had happened, no one in the local VDOT office seemed to know which roads had been plowed and which had not, or when those that had not been opened might be. And no one seemed to be in charge. - VDOT needs to make plans now to see that the confusion of the past week is not repeated.
