I especially agree that we need “renewed commitment to curriculum and academic achievement and to the administration working with the faculty,” To succeed, however, this alliance must include parents and students as vital partners ,in forj desire to learn.

Perhaps you are already the many employees and volunteers who collectively keep local public education running. If not, and you’d be willing to contribute in any way, there are numerous possible routes to pursue. The School Board meets monthly (watch the newspaper), the First Thursday Education Support Group meets bi-monthly (watch the newspaper or call 675-1461 for information), the RCES PTO meets regularly, RCHS principal Jack Raines holds meeting for parents and others to air their views and Volunteer Coordinator Jan Makela has openings of ma^ny kinds. However you choose to show support, please follow Brion Patterson’s example in stepping up to bat.
