Cleanup

To the Editor:

The response from concerned citizens to the upcoming clean-up effort in Chester Gap on May 4th has been fantastic! No doubt the response will produce action when it comes to! “walking the talk” about cleaning up the headwaters of the Rappahannock River. ;

In the meantime, it is impossible* not to notice the large volume of trashy along primary and secondary county* roads. I would encourage county citi- « zens, especially those groups and indi~* viduals who have “signed-on” to tfie - adopt-a-road pick-up program, organize “spring cleaning” efforts* before new undergrowth and snakej’ make this task more difficult.

VDOT will provide bags and pick* * up if you stop by their headquarters Washington or call to let them know ■ when and where you are leaving filled • bags.

We will try to provide updated« information on the Chester Gap cleaarC up plans in the paper. Interested partied* ipants should call 675-1879 to sign-ujfTr
