Charles Butler, Sr.
Charles William Butler, Sr., 72, of Woodville, died on Tuesday, March 12 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. •
He was born May 27, 1923, in Scrabble to the late Amos Napoleon Butler and Lilly Hawkins.
Survivors include three sons, Charles William Butler, Jr., Joe Butler and John Butler, all of Woodville and two daughters, Sarah Butler Stubbs of Pennsylvania, and Susan Butler Sylvia of Arizona.
He is also survived by one sister, Mary Butler Sibert of Salisbury, Md.; two brothers, Lewis Butler of Washington and Edward Butler of Gainesville and nine grandchildren.
Mr. Butler was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Butler.
Graveside services were held on Sunday, March 16 at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Wiles officiating.
Found and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
