The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR, met on Sunday, March 10 at the Precious Blood Catholic Church in Culpeper for the annual Awards tea. Honored were seven area students from Culpeper, Madison and Rappahannock counties. Four students were the winners of the Good Citizenship Awards, a yearly national contest sponsored by the DAR for high school seniors. The other three were American History Essay Contest winners, also a yearly national contest sponsored by the DAR.
The Regent, Mrs. Irvin R. Kilby, welcomed DAR members, students and their families, and guests to the afternoon ceremony.
