Jon Purnell of Washington has agreed to speak at the Library Friday Program for April on the 12th at 8 p.m.
Mr. Purnell, who is director of the Office of Ukraine, Belorussiya and Moldova at the Department of State, will discuss “The Former Soviet Union on the Eve of Two Elections.”
Mr.. Purnell and his family returned to the States in 1992 after serving three years in St. Petersburg and a year in Vienna. Earlier, he was stationed in Moscow for several years. His work at the State Department
