Middle Street Gallery in Washington will be exhibiting the works of Phyllis Magrab, a resident of Flint Hill and Cabin John, Md., from July 4-28.
The artist’s reception will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, July 7. Proceeds from this exhibition will be to benefit “Caring for Children,” a campaign to serve the region’s most vulnerable children — children who are homeless, chronically ill, at-risk for developmental difficulties, and with neurological, developmental and emotional problems — at Georgetown University Children’s Medical Center. :
This exhibition of large scale abstract acrylics on paper represents the most recent work of the artist. As a painter, Ms. Magrab, states that she has always been especially drawn to , the effects of light and color. Her latest effort reflects an evolution of exploring these elements in the realistic representation of nature to more abstract portrayals.
