Support Group Social Set

The Blue Ridge Head Injury Support Group will meet from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, July 13 at the home of Barbara and Larry Holloway, in Midland. Workshop Scheduled

Experience The Magic presents a drawing intensive workshop with Laurie Marshall will be held 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 27 at Belle Meade Bed and Breakfast. The cost is $35 and includes lunch, materials and swimming. Call John Cloud at 675-1864 to register.

Art Camp Planned

Middle Street Gallery presents its fifth annual Art Camp at the REC Center in Washington. There will be two weeks of camp: Drawing and Painting with Laurie Marshall July 29-Aug. 2 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Call 675-3267 to register. Paper-Making with Nina Moore Aug. 5-9 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Call 987-8953 to register. Ages 4-14 are welcome! It costs $10/week or $7/day. The fee includes most materials. Scholarships are available.

F.V.F.D. Carnival Planned

The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Carnival is being held July 24, 25, 26 and 27 at the Flint Hill Fire Grounds. The parade will be on Friday, July 26. This year’s grand prize will b£ a 1996 Cheverolet S-10 pickup. Tickets are available from any member or several local merchants.

The fire department is also seeking queen contestants. Anyone interested or wishing additional information should contact Connie HuffHams at 675-3389.

Registration Underway

Registration for fall soccer camp is, July 8-12. The mini-camp, for ages 6 and 7, will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and costs $100. The older camp, ages 7-14, will run 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and costs $125. The camp will be held on the RCES playing fields. The instructors are from the Soccer Academy in Fairfax, an organization well-known for its high-caliber of soccer training.
