When the Sheriff’s Office investigated the boy’s parents admitted they took the CD’s and CD player because they wanted to teach their son a lesson on being responsible about leav> ing things outside. He had left then} on a picnic table in the yard.
Amanda Takemotto, 41, of Flint Hill, was arrested for DUI and possession of marijuana following an accident at Massie’s Corner jn Washington about 2 a.m. on Saturday. According to Major Rick MaCWelCh of the Sheriff’s Office, Ms. Takemotto was driving south on U.S» 522 when she reached the intersection with U.S. 211 at Massie’s Comer; Instead of turning left or right, she continued to drive straight across the four lanes of traffic and was stopped by an embankment on the south side of U.S. 211. Deputy James Dodson investigated the accident. Ms, Takemotto’s vehicle sustained midot damage and she was not injured.
A male juvenile was charged with trespassing in an incident which took place on the soccer field at RCHS very early on Sunday morning. Major Mac Welch said that the boy, driving a 1981 Ford pickup, was “doing donuts” on the field (spinning wheels) and the truck got stuck. He apparently left the truck and Deputy Dodson charged him with trespassing when he returned for the truck.
Ross O’Donghue of Arlington, who owns a cabin on Red Oak Mountain, reported on Sunday that someone had stolen a Stihl weedeater from his unlocked shed. Major Mac Welch reported that the Sheriffs Office had found a weedeater at a Culpeper pawn shop which might belong to Mr. O’Donghue.
Allen Streightiff of Route 613 in Amissville reported on Sunday that a bicycle he had just purchased for hi*' son on May 12 had been stolen.
